Effect of mobile-laptops causes low vision in child
Most
people are more likely to rely on laptops, tablets and mobile screens during
coronal lockdowns. The tendency to spend time close to family and nature has
decreased at an alarming rate. As a result, it goes without saying that there
is no habit of looking far! This affects the activity of the eyesight,
especially the ability to see far away.
The
tendency of this problem is increasing the level of damage from adults to
children. Such an aspect has come up in the research. Doctors have named this
eye problem 'quarantine myopia.' This myopia has a direct link to reading.
This myopia is especially prevalent in those who are accustomed to reading more. A study of 120,000 school children in China found that children between the ages of 6 and 7 were more prone to myopia. And one of the reasons for this is the reliance on mobile or laptop screens from children sitting at home due to coronal lockdown. As a result, children are losing sight far away!
Researchers say that anatomical changes in the eyes of children between the ages of six and eight are a normal process. That is why if children at this age are losing their sight due to the habit of not seeing from a distance, then the problem will not go away even after they grow up. Moreover, if the eyeball grows in children of this age, then the vision of looking away will be completely reduced! And this can lead to retinal problems and a complete loss of vision and blindness.
